Working on Wellness guests

I must say, one thing I enjoy the most about this place is the opportunities we have to work on people besides just our fellow students. Since the school is situated at a wellness center here in the Black hills we get the opportunity to give swedish massage and hydrotherapy treatments to the guests who come here as well. What an amazing experience. Just today I gave a swedish side lieing massage to one of the guests and it was so rewarding for me to get that chance. I found our he has been to Papua New Guinea, and since I spent several years there growing up we had quite a bit of stories to share which was a lot of fun. Now though it is time for class again which means back to the books and the note taking. Not that I mind that much but I definitely would rather be giving a massage than sitting in a class room
But I don't mind since I know I have to get good grades in order to get my massage license. Tomorrow we get to work on the guests again and i'm looking forward to that. Well I suppose I better end this one for now, and start paying attention to Carrie, our teacher, she just walked in and so class is starting now. School started, and moving smoothly.

Well, school has started and is moving along smoothly. We started on Febraury 1 and it is now already April so time seems to be flying by.
I'm really enjoying my classes and hope to be ready to take my National Boards in July, I'm sure I will be, I just have to keep studying.
It's not really that bad though, I have got a strong desire to finish strong and complete my studies. This place is wonderful and I've really enjoyed the time in class, learning how to give massages, learning all about the body and what to look for when you give massages. It's amazing how our body works.
Another amazing thing to me is that God put us together so perfectly. Everything works perfectly together, unless sin is allowed to enter. Which we have allowed it to enter but we still are able to do so many of the things that God designed us to do. Like for instance, Crystal (my wife) and I are getting really excited about having our first baby. It absolutely blew me away when we went in for our first ultrasound and saw the baby there on the screen. What an amazing experience. We are praying that everything will go well with the pregnancy. Crystal thinks it's going to be a boy, we'll see. She said she had a dream last night that she had a boy and so she is pretty sure we are having a boy.
I just can't wait to see the baby and hold it for the first time, to see the heart beating and watch as the little eyes look into mine. What a moment. It's going to be amazing.

Where do I start

I'm not sure how to start writing about this place, when I first got here in November of 2007 my first reaction was WOW it's gorgeous,
and I've loved it here at Black Hills Health and Education Center ever since. Located in the Black Hills of South Dakota it really is a feast to the eyes. I love how the deer come down and roam right here in front of the buildings, letting you get close and watch them as they stand there without a care in the world. Of course, occasionally it is fun to make a loud noise and watch them scatter but they don't go far and then they turn and look at you like, wha'd you do that for.
But this place is also a haven for people who want to get away from their busy lives, come out and forget about the stress in their jobs and take a vacation. Really it's a vacation, we offer sightseeing tours and wonderful hikes. Also we offer meals, which are very healthy if I may say so. We are a Health Center where you will learn how to eat right, excercise right and feel better than you have felt in years.
As I'm sure you have seen from reading the website, there are 2 doctors on staff for taking care of your physical needs, and also a counselor for taking care of your spiritual needs. This truly is an amazing place to come and visit. As I continue to write articles on this blog, I'll let you in on a little more about my life as I live here in the Black Hills, right now I'm taking Massage Therapy here as well, which is another thing that BHHEC offers. A full course in massage. Starting in February of each year and going through July. Well I better leave this blog off for now, I have to get back to class before I'm late.
