I'm trying to learn to connect my brain and my stomach. I eat either too much or too little. What is a good meal portion size. When I eat too little I'm hungry and can'T function and when Ie at too much I have indigestion. Because my indigestion has been present for so long I'm also trying a candida diet which means I'm restricting many items and eating too many of others. Pleas help me figure this out. I'm follwing a nutritionist but because she advocates eating between meals and the regular meat based diet I feel there is something missing. I'm a total vegetarian trying to regain my health and weight.

Hi Genevieve,
Ususally a portion size is 1/2 cup cooked or 1 cup raw salad. You don't want to feel stuffed after a meal but you don't want to be feeling hungry either or you will want to snack. If you are using whole foods (unrefined) you should have enought fiber to keep you from getting hungry until the next meal. But how much is enough? One plate full for dinner and cereal, beans and fruit for breakfast. If that is not enough you can always add more.

Thanks Elizaabath, I'm a girl with lot's of questions as you can see. Also, I took an arb and herb oil table 30 minutes before breakfast this morning because I wanted to make sure it worked well. Now I feel that that was a wrong move. Do herb and herb oil tablets digest fast enough to take them before breafast. I did not want to eat it with a fruit breakfast. Or, does it slow my (next meal ) digestion time.... ????

Fat takes a long time to digest I believe, therefore I would take my herb oil capsule with dinner.
