• Clothing: May to September, only a light jacket will be needed. In winter, October to
April you will want layered clothing, a warm jacket, gloves, scarf, etc.
• Personal toiletries and hair dryer
• Bathrobe, pajamas and slippers
• Comfortable walking shoes
• Bathing suit, robe, and pool-shoes/sandles to use in shower, hydro areas or pool
• Insurance cards and current medical records
• Your supply of prescription medications and/or medical equipment, (such as
glucose meter for testing blood sugar, C-PAP machine, etc.)
• Optional items: Camera, binoculars, CD player with earphones
What to leave home
• Any food (you are going to be fed very well!)
• Alcohol or drugs (not including your medication)
• Smoke or smokeless tobacco
A washer and dryer are available to do your personal laundry (at no charge). We also provide all necessary laundry products for you.

When You Arrive
No matter what length of program you will be in, registration day is always the same Sunday. Please plan on arriving between 12 and 4. That will allow enough time to register and settle in before the evening Guest Orientation.
When You Leave
It is sad to see you go, but your program will end on a Thursday afternoon. Some Guests leave that afternoon while others depart Friday.
If for some reason you are an exception to the above arrival and departure days, prior arrangements will need to be made, (additional charges may apply).
Mode of Travel
By Air: When traveling by air to Rapid City, SD, a Wellness Center staff will be in touch with you, by cell phone, on your day of travel and will meet you at the airport baggage claim. The Center is an easy 35 minute drive from the airport.
By Car: If arriving by car, simply follow the directions supplied. If you get a bit off track give us a call and we will be happy to get you headed the right direction.
By Bus: If arriving by bus to Rapid City, SD, a Wellness Center staff will be in touch with you, by cell phone, on your day of travel and will meet you at the bus station as close to your arrival as is possible.
Note: If you are to be picked up at the airport or bus station on arrival Sunday, please wait patiently for your driver as they may be picking up another Guest as well. The driver will communicate with you and will do their best to make your wait as short as possible.
About the Center & Program
Things to Remember: If you are attending the Medical or Mini-Medical program be sure to bring applicable medical records with you as well as your current medications. We do not supply any medications or in the case of diabetics, blood monitoring supplies.
Visitors/Family visitors: If a friend or family member would like to visit you on the weekend, they are welcome to do so. If they will be staying for a meal be sure to make arrangements through the Wellness Center receptionist.
Phone / TV / IPod: Because not everyone has a cell phone, there is land line available in Wellness Center.
During your stay, the program is designed for minimum distractions, with that in mind, with the exception of Television for presentation purposes, there are no TVs available.
Some Guest may want to bring a music devise with them in which case just remember to bring ear buds as to not disturb those around you.
Internet: A wireless internet signal is available to you for emails. If you do not have a mobile device, a desktop computer is provided for email use.
How to Dress: We do not have an official dress coded, but guests are asked to dress modestly and comfortably for the season.
Laundry: If you are staying for the 11 or 18 program, you will have a laundry facility available to you. Laundry soap is supplied for your convenience.
Pets: The Wellness Center is not set-up to accommodate pets. In addition there may be a fellow Guest that is sensitive/allergic to animals. Please make pet arrangements accordingly.
