As a Christian Massage School, we inspire our students to become skillful and
compassionate massage therapists with a heavenly touch.
Black Hills School of Massage (BHSOM) offers a state-recognized 650-hour program that prepares students to take the MBLEx national examination. The mission of BHSOM is to provide post-secondary vocational education in health ministry by means of massage therapy and hydrotherapy in conjunction with Christian ethics. Our program offers the highest education for those who desire to engage in the ministry of natural health care, for example.
The course includes Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology, Pathology, Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Chair Massage and more. Black Hills School of Massage is state recognized in South Dakota which enables our students to receive licenses in most states.

What to expect:
People respond to touch in various ways: relaxation, appreciation, wanting more, happiness etc.! As therapists, our hands are a gift from God to do for others what they cannot do for themselves. This is what you will learn at Black Hills School of Massage. We do not take this service lightly, because touch can be for evil or for good. The ministry of touch we seek to provide is therapeutic not harmful. The Training matters very much, and skill does not happen overnight, it takes time and patience to cultivate the skill of touch.
Course Overview
The massage program offers a 650-hour program in massage therapy. The curriculum is designed to provide the student with a core foundation of applied anatomy, kinesiology, and physiology as the basics for understanding the wonderful working of God in sustaining the human body. There are over 300 hours of hands-on training available in the curriculum. Situated on such a beautiful campus, the students at the school are encouraged to take study breaks every now and then and go for a walk in the fresh air!
