An Exciting opportunity awaits you!

Black Hills School of Massage (BHSOM) offers a state-recognized 650-hour program that prepares students to take the MBLEx national examination.

The course includes Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology, Pathology, Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Chair Massage and more. Black Hills School of Massage is state recognized in South Dakota which enables our students to receive licenses in most states.

Admissions


    • 18 or older

    • Possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

    • Be in good physical and emotional health.

    • Be able to meet the financial obligations of the program.

    • Complete the admissions interview in person when possible or by telephone.

    • Submit your $100.00 application fee (non-refundable) and complete the application. If you are mailing your application fee please send it to Black Hills School of Massage, P.O. Box 19, Hermosa, SD 57744.

    • Once we have received your application and deposit, we will contact you for an interview.

    • Students are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • The following items must be submitted at least 3 weeks before class begins:

    • Completed application

    • Copy of your high school diploma or GED

    • One (1) 2 x 3 passport-style photos

    • Letter of recommendation

    • A note from your physician on his/her official letterhead, stating that you are free from communicable diseases, (including tuberculosis), in good health, and able to perform massage therapy.

    • Application fee: $100 (non-refundable)

    • Tuition only (local student commuting daily) - $6,500

    • All-inclusive Program: Tuition, room, and 2 plant-based meals per day (private room/shared bath) - $8,995

    • Books are the responsibility of the students. We will supply a book list. Amazon, ThriftBooks.com, and Cheapesttextbooks.com are good places to purchase used books.

    • Enrollment Deposit: $500 (Refundable if you notify us of your not planning to attend 7 days before school starts.) Required to hold the student’s place in the class. This fee will be applied towards tuition.
